  2. Dear editor
Your article about Adbusters had some interesting ideas, especially about Save Energy. TV turnoff week is a wonderful idea.
First of all, I´m sure TV is the best friend of lazy people. I don´t say that the TV is really bad, watch TV has advantages like keep informed of important news. Actually I watched a lot of TV when I was in the school, but in my opinion watch too much television is bad, especially entertainment programs, it can be addictive.
Second of all, people can do others things like go to the park or practice a sport. If people could live without TV for centuries in the past, we can do the same. Also we must to save energy for our planet, and incidentally reduce electric bills.
And finally, a week without television shows people how unhealthy is stay sitting in a sofa for hours, because food is not processed and the blood doesn't circulate well. I think that Carrying out this idea, at least, several times a year would be excellent.

  3. DEAR EDITOR:

I read your article about Kalle Lasn and Abdusters, It had some interesting ideas, especially about the environment. Tv turnoff week is a great idea especially for our city. For one thing, People save energy when they don´t use Tv. Sometime people TURN ON TV when they aren´t watching it. Now we use electrical appliances all the time. So we have to protect the planet and turn off TV.
Also, people spend more time with their families when Television is off. There isn´t communication when a member of the family is watching tv because they stay in front of tv all the time and don´t speak. Without Television a father or mather can talk with their son or daugther, parent give their children advices to how survive in this world.
And finally, a week without Televisions makes our life healthier because we try to make others activities such as exercises or maybe play chess. We have to protect the environment because our children and grandchildren will live here and we want to give them a better life without contamination and with enough energy to survive.

  4. Dear Editor
I really like your article about adbusters. In my opinion, the one about TV Turnoff Week is a great idea.
First of all, people could spend more time with their family. During the week most of the members of the family are busy doing different kind of activities such as studying at school or university, working or even both activities. Usually they do not have enough time to spend with family and, instead of that, they prefer to watch TV and then, go to sleep. Communication is one of the most important parts in a family, so as the ad said: Quit watching, start living!
Also, I think we can use the time doing exercises. Usually people have a sedentary life, and instead of doing physical exercises we just watch TV all the time. It’s well known that there is a big population in the world with overweight.
Finally, if we don’t watch TV we can save electrical energy. I know that we could save a little energy but if a lot of people do the same, we can save more and more energy and our planet will be grateful.
    Sincerely,
    Juan Pablo Zamora Beyk

I read your article about Kalle Lasn and Abdusters had some interesting ideas, especially about the environment. Tv turnoff week is a great idea especially for our city. For one thing, you could save money because you will pay less in the bills of the end of month.
Also, you should spend time with the family because usually they work all the time and can´t talk with the children or friends. If the people don´t use a electricity machine, they could do a lot of diferents things for example: play chess, monopoly, poker, etc. or simplely talk with the children about his life.
And finally, It´s good thing for the environment because you won´t use an electricity energy. I think that these points will be fine for save the world. Practice it!!!!!

  6. Dear Editor,

I just read your article about Kalle Lasn and Adbusters, It has ideas very interesting, especially I am interested in the topic TV Turnoff Week . For one thing ,the planet will save a lot of power for a week and that would be good for the environment that is so deteriorated.

Also, people can make activities more beneficial than watching television, such as sports, having a conversation with family or go anywhere for a week, because watch TV for a long time is harmful to health and it's bad for the family who can´t spend time together.

Finally,There are several bad television programs containing violence, sex and other bad things. And for a week can make people get used to not seeing these junk programs and begin to see cultural programs.

  7. DEAR EDITOR:

Your article about Kalle Lasn and Adbusters had some interesting ideas , especially about how we can save energy. Tv Turnoff week is an excellent idea. For one thing people can save a lot of energy when they don´t use Tv for one week. There are also newspapers and magazines, for which we can have some information and without using energy.
Also people can do exercise when tv is off.For people, the tv makes you become sedentary , and its bad for our health. Because when you exercise you can relax your mind and body, and that's good for our health.
And finally, a day without televisions you can concentrate more on your job responsibilities, home or school. Sometimes the TV is distracting, so in a week without TV could be better and we can do better our responsabilities. I think if we do this, we can save our Earth, our planet and our future generations.

  11. Dear editor

Your article has many interesting ideas one of the most important is about the electricity, “Tv turnoff week” is a great idea. First of all is a good way to care for the planet, because people would save much energy, in other words “the world could breathe”.

*Other reason for example in the case of children they would improve their grades in school, could develop other abilities, spend your time doing other activities like swimming dancing or karate. If they stopped to watching TV the percentage of the addiction to television will decrease
In fact not having the TV on at home also help the family in his communication,
*the parents could discuss their problems, and they would spend more time talking with their children.

The family would have more time listening to music, singing, playing cards, another important reason is that the people would save money and the bill will be less.

*Although television is important because it is way of communication and information, in excess is bad for the family and the planet. Also if the people didn’t see TV, could spend more time reading the paper books.

    sincerely

  12. Your article about Adbusters had some interesting ideas, especially about "Quit watching, start living! For one thing, It is important to raise awareness about the harmful effects of excessive television-watching and encourage people to reduce the amount of television that they watch and replace TV time with others activities that do exercise, productive lives and engaged citizenship. Also,Television is generally a passive "non-activity" which often detracts from more healthy, interpersonal, productive, rewarding and community-oriented activities. And finally, TV-Turnoff Week is about having more fun and turning "on" your life. It's an opportunity to rediscover the wide range of activities that exist when one unplugs from the sedentary, image-based, simplistic and commercial world of television.
